As an avid animal lover, I am part of several animal welfare and wildlife protection causes. I had the pleasure of walking the catwalk at Rescue the Runway last Wednesday. Rescue the Runway is a music, fashion and adoption event benefiting local animal welfare/rescue groups. 100% of ticket sales, auction sales and event activities were donated directly to three incredibly worthy animal welfare/rescue groups serving the greater New York
City/NJ area: Animal Haven, Second Chance Rescue, and Pibbles & More Animal Rescue.
The transformation from “before” to “after” in the lives of the rescue animals is a testimony to the vital role these agencies and many others like them play in our community. As the proud mom of two beloved “fur children,” my rescue mutt Magic and my rescue kitty Max, I believe it is so important to open our hearts and homes to animals that have been abused, neglected, or mistreated. These loving pets deserve a second chance and a happy home.
I had an absolutely amazing time walking with Stones, an adorable rescue pup. A great cause, fantastic music and food, and sweet rescue dogs – what more could you want in an event!
