Every Monday morning at LexION Capital I deliver the weekly “CatION” to the team. The purpose of this is to set the tone for what we want to accomplish in the week ahead, and to set everyone up in the best frame of mind to push forward with gusto and inspiration.
This week’s CatION is taken from something I stumbled upon online over the weekend:
“Nobody has the answers. Nobody is listening to you. Nobody is looking out for your interests. Nobody will lower your taxes…Nobody warned that the housing bubble would collapse. Nobody will reform Wall Street. Nobody will stand up for what’s right. Nobody will be your voice. Nobody will tell you what the others won’t. Nobody has a handle on this.
Nobody, but you, that is.
Never forget, a small group of people can change the world. No one else ever has.”
This spoke to me on such a level that I had to share it with my team.
The team at LexION Capital doesn’t just believe this, we live it every day. As an independent fiduciary wealth management firm we are trying to change the way Wall Street approaches investing by setting the example and putting our clients first. And we’re up against some pretty tough competition (i.e. big investment firms).
Yet we don’t back down. We do this because we believe it’s the right thing to do, and we believe that what we’re doing has the power to make waves in the finance industry and change the way these prominent investment firms treat and approach their clients.
I truly believe that a small group of people can change the world, and as one of the only women owned, women run wealth management firms in the United States, LexION Capital is doing what we can to make a real difference.
