The Successful Entrepreneur’s Best Kept Secret

Nov 13, 2015 | Entrepreneurship

One of the most costly epidemics in the United States is not one that may even initially come to mind, but is affecting businesses everywhere across America. According to a recent statistic nearly 86% of all people working in the North East cite being stressed about a work related issue or another.

Many people don’t think about it, but stress is scary, and it has been proven to shorten your life span and hit your immune system, hard.

That’s why it is essential to find ways to decompress and de-stress – and doing this will increase your productivity, too!

I can’t stress(!) this enough; taking time out for some “me” time is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, so pay yourself forward. Whether it means decompressing with a good book and a glass of wine, or going to the gym, taking time to do something you enjoy will reduce your stress and increase your overall productivity. As an entrepreneur and CEO of my own wealth management firm it can be easy to succumb to some of the stresses of running a small business, which is why I always make time for me.

As entrepreneurs, it can be easy sometimes to worry about work; but if you want to increase your productivity, get inspired by new and different things, it’s important to re-energize and press the sleep button by doing something that will take you out of your element for a little while. After all, you never know where your next big idea will come from.
